Dr. Grace Oyelaran directs the Associate Degree in Nursing and Practical Nursing programs. She spent fifteen years as an ICU and labor-and-delivery nurse in Charleston before moving into nursing education, and she still picks up occasional shifts to stay connected to the bedside.

Under her leadership, Palmetto Ridge nursing graduates have consistently outperformed state and national averages on the NCLEX licensure exam, including a 98 percent first-time pass rate for the most recent class. Dr. Oyelaran built the simulation lab in the Health Sciences Building and created a mentoring program that pairs nursing students with alumni working in local hospitals. She is a proud mother of three and an avid gardener.
