Dr. Samuel Adeyemi teaches everything from corequisite College Algebra to Calculus III and Differential Equations. Originally from Lagos, Nigeria, he came to the United States for graduate school and found his calling teaching at the community college level.
Dr. Adeyemi redesigned the college’s gateway math courses so that students who once would have spent a full year in remedial classes now earn college credit in their first semester. Pass rates rose by nearly twenty percentage points as a result. He runs the popular Math Café tutoring sessions in the Learning Commons and coaches the Hawks Math League team. Ask him about soccer and you may lose an hour.
