Marcus Bellamy helps students in science, technology, engineering, and math programs map out a clear path from their first semester to transfer or a career. He was a first-generation college student who switched majors three times, so he knows how much a good advisor can matter.

Marcus meets with every new STEM student during their first term to build a personalized degree plan, and he coordinates transfer visits with Clemson, the University of South Carolina, and South Carolina State. He also runs the Hawks STEM Scholars cohort for students from groups that have been underrepresented in science careers. He is a proud Lowcountry native who knows every good shrimp-and-grits spot within fifty miles.
