What you’ll learn
- Financial and managerial accounting
- Payroll accounting and small business taxes
- Individual income tax preparation
- QuickBooks, Excel and cloud accounting tools
- Business law, ethics and internal controls
Why Palmetto Ridge
The entire program is available online through RidgeLearn, so you can earn your degree around work and family. Each tax season, students volunteer with our free tax assistance clinic, helping Cypress Landing families file returns and gaining hands-on experience that employers value. Instructor Gregory, a CPA with 20 years in public accounting, also coaches students toward the QuickBooks Certified User credential. Graduates work for local firms, hospitals, school districts and small businesses throughout the Lowcountry. If you decide to keep going, many courses can be applied toward a bachelor’s in accounting at an SC public university.
