Prof. Hannah Whitlock

Professor Hannah Whitlock teaches medical-surgical nursing and coordinates clinical placements with hospitals and clinics across the Lowcountry. A former Army nurse, she served at military hospitals in Germany and Texas before coming home to South Carolina.

Professor Whitlock is deeply committed to students who are balancing school with jobs, children, and military service. She created the nursing program’s evening clinical cohort for working adults and serves as a faculty liaison to the Veterans & Military Success Center. Students describe her as tough, fair, and endlessly encouraging. She is hard of hearing and is an advocate for accessible clinical training, including captioned simulation videos and amplified stethoscopes.
